The Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Urban Development approved the design of the first building of the new residential complex near Karpovskaya Church.

      02 January 2026, 15:38 Economy. In Nizhny Novgorod, the exterior appearance of the first apartment building in a new residential complex to be built in the Leninsky district, near the Karpovskaya Church, has been approved.

      According to an order from the Ministry of Urban Development Activities and Agglomeration Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated December 26, the architectural and urban appearance of the building located on Shakespeare Street has been approved. LLC "Specialized Developer STEKOM" is responsible for implementing the project.

      Building No. 1, according to the planning drawings, will be a 23-story building with integrated public-use premises. The total floor area of the structure will be 16,504.2 sq m, the building footprint will be 755 sq m, and the construction site covers 8,913 sq m.

      The first building will be part of a large residential complex that will be constructed in eight phases. In the initial stage, in addition to the residential block, a transformer substation and local wastewater treatment facilities will be built.

      The project provides for the construction of six multi-story buildings, each of which will include 11,500 sq m of residential space. The neighborhood will also include a kindergarten for 130 children, a school for 550 students, a clinic with capacity for 150 visits per day, two hotels of 100 rooms each, two public buildings with underground parking, a sports club and warehouse facilities.

      The territory of the future neighborhood covers the plot where houses previously stood at Shakespeare Street, Nos. 18, 16, 14, 12a, 2a, 1a, 1v, 12e and 121b. These buildings are subject to demolition and relocation.

      As part of the area's development, reconstruction of Shakespeare Street, Hero Popov Street and Suzdalskaya Street is also planned, along with improvement of courtyards and public spaces and the creation of pedestrian zones, children's playgrounds and sports facilities.
