Local branch of the United Russia party in the Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod held another humanitarian collection. The shipment included camouflage nets and capes, sweets and foodstuffs, hygiene products, about 3,500 sets of bedding and towels, and trench stoves.

"We are sending another batch of humanitarian aid to our defenders and true heroes who are spending the New Year holidays at their combat posts. We really wanted this shipment to be special. Therefore, in addition to the usual items, we added New Year gifts: Christmas tree decorations and warm, sincere letters of thanks and support from children and older residents of Nizhny Novgorod. Victory is made up of many factors, and such support is also indispensable; by helping our own, we bring Victory closer!" emphasized Yuri Balashov, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and secretary of the local branch of the United Russia party in the Sovetsky District.

Part of the consignment is intended for pupils of a boarding school in Luhansk. At the request of the administration of the sponsored educational institution, a color printer and medicines were purchased and handed over.

The cargo for the front line was assembled according to requests from servicemen.

"We are eagerly awaiting our common Victory and the return of the heroes. For now, while they are on duty, our task is to make their service a little easier and warmer by sending everything necessary. And, of course, during these holiday days, under harsh combat conditions, moral support is especially important. Each such shipment is an expression of our gratitude and confidence in the defenders. We will continue to mobilize resources and coordinate assistance, because strength is in unity and real deeds. Happy New 2026 and I wish for a speedy and safe return home," said Dmitry Filipenko, head of the executive committee of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the United Russia party.

Activists of the primary branch of the party in the settlement of Sakharny Dol and local residents handed over a batch of homemade "mask-nets." A volunteer center operates at the TOS base, staffed by concerned residents of Nizhny Novgorod. In addition to camouflage nets, the workshop sews coveralls, white protective gowns, underwear and knits socks.

"Dear our warrior-defenders! We congratulate you on the New Year! We wish you all health, high spirits, strength and courage. And most of all — a swift, long-awaited victory! Residents of the settlement of Sakharny Dol and members of the primary branch of the United Russia party have collected another batch of humanitarian aid. All of this, guys, was made for you, with sincere concern for you," shared Elena Pryakhina, deputy chair of the TOS of the settlement of Sakharny Dol.

It should be recalled that residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region provide ongoing support to servicemen, internally displaced persons, residents of liberated territories and border regions.

The Nizhny Novgorod regional branch and the party’s volunteer center organized operational headquarters in the early days of the Special Military Operation. The party’s deputies and various organizations immediately joined the effort. Shipments are sent on an ongoing basis — both for servicemen and for the civilian population. Deputies and activists, together with partners, regularly deliver necessary items, special equipment, medicines and food.
