More than 220 "Buy Nizhny Novgorod-made" fairs were held in the region in 2025. Nizhny Novgorod food producers, manufacturers of non-food goods and folk art crafts presented their products in 49 municipalities.
According to Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the "Buy Nizhny Novgorod-made" fairs have been held in the region’s districts since 2009.
"Last year, 3,623 Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs and self-employed people took part in the fairs. They presented food products, items made of wood, glass and ceramics, leather and faux-leather haberdashery, household chemicals and jewelry. This year we plan to continue this work with municipal administrations," said Maxim Cherkasov.
Fairs in municipalities are most often timed to district, town and village days, local and national holidays, and various festivals.
The fair schedule is adjusted monthly taking into account proposals from the administrations of the municipal formations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
To obtain a free trading spot at a fair, entrepreneurs must contact the administration of the relevant municipal or urban district. Entrepreneurs can track up-to-date information about planned fairs on the regional Ministry of Industry’s website.
