There has been a change of leadership at the ANO “Volunteer Center of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.” CEO Maria Samodelkina left the post due to taking a new job. Management of the organization has been transferred to City Duma deputy of Nizhny Novgorod Tatyana Druzhinina. The personnel decision was made at the end of the year and has already come into effect, reports the VOVK Telegram channel.
The new head is well acquainted with the region’s public and political agenda. Her background includes work in the Youth Parliament of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, where Druzhinina led the body and supported initiatives of young activists. From 2018 to 2022 she served as deputy head of the regional executive committee of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of United Russia, overseeing party and social projects.
Since 2024 Tatyana Druzhinina has also served as deputy general director of the ANO “Center for Public Relations – Nizhny Novgorod House of National Unity.” There she heads the coordination center for supporting servicemen, mobilized personnel and their families. It is expected that her accumulated experience will help strengthen the volunteer center’s work and expand its projects in the region.
