A new church in honor of Grand Prince Vladimir opened on Ankudinovskoye Highway in the Prioksky District. The consecration ceremony on December 31 was attended by the chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly, Evgeny Lyulin, and the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yury Shalabaev.
"This important event has become a true gift and a miracle on the eve of the New Year for all Orthodox believers who have awaited it since the laying of the church in 2022," the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the church was built in the best traditions of Old Russian architecture of the Russian North. It is designed for 200 parishioners.
"Churches like this become spiritual landmarks that remind us of enduring values that unite the people," Lyulin noted.
Earlier it was reported that in the Nizhny Novgorod region there are plans to restore unique wooden churches and bell towers.
Also, a reminder that in May a church opened in Bor, built to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
