Which medical services will become free for Nizhny Novgorod residents in 2026?

      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to take advantage of an expanded list of free medical services in 2026. This was reported by a representative of regional healthcare, Alexey Nikonov, on his Telegram channel.

      From the beginning of next year, free remote monitoring will become available for patients with arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Telemedicine consultations will also be available free of charge, including those using services based on artificial intelligence.

      The list also includes diagnostic procedures such as mammography, radiography, fluorography, chest computed tomography, electrocardiogram and colonoscopy.

      In addition, residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to undergo enhanced medical check-ups and receive personalized recommendations on a healthy lifestyle and nutrition at "Health Centers" that will operate in the region.

      Also, within the framework of the medical guarantees program, 14 new treatment methods are planned to be introduced in 2026. They will cover areas such as oncology, ophthalmology, cardiovascular surgery and endocrinology.

      As Nikonov noted, all changes are being implemented as part of the national project "Longer and Active Life." In this regard, the budget of the regional state guarantees program in 2026 will be increased by almost 5.3 billion rubles and will amount to 69.5 billion rubles.

      Earlier it was reported that two new modular feldsher-obstetric stations were opened in Arzamas under the national project. In addition, a FAP (feldsher-obstetric station) appeared in the village of Kochko-Pozharki in the Sergach municipal district.
