Security at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin will be provided by 155 video cameras.

      The installation of 155 modern surveillance cameras at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin has been completed. This was reported by the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yegor Polyakov, on his Telegram channel.

      The system covers the battlements, as well as the inner and outer perimeters of the fortress walls. All cameras are integrated with the regional "Safe City" platform, which uses artificial intelligence.

      The new system allows real-time monitoring of all entrances and vehicle entry points to the Kremlin grounds. It also provides for integrating biometric access passes and automatic vehicle license plate recognition.

      As the deputy head of the region clarified, more than 25,000 cameras in the Nizhny Novgorod Region are connected to the "Safe City" system. Over the past year their number has increased by 38%.

      It was previously reported that several more cameras were installed at the Oksky Descent in Nizhny Novgorod. In addition, 5 million rubles were allocated to integrate all cameras in Nizhny Novgorod into a single surveillance system.
