From January 1, 2026, Russian citizens will be able, at their discretion, to have six additional entries placed in their passport. This was reported by 360.ru citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The new entries will include information about previously issued passports, details about children, data on marriage registration and dissolution, the record number in the Unified Federal Information Register, as well as the taxpayer identification number (INN). Instead of the INN, it will be possible to indicate a new unique identifier that will be assigned to each citizen in the Unified Population Register.

In addition, there will be the option to add entries on blood type, Rh factor and identity documents issued outside Russia. This innovation will allow citizens to carry more complete and up-to-date information, which may be useful in various life situations.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the entries will be made by various organizations, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, territorial divisions, medical institutions, multifunctional centers (MFCs) and tax authorities. All entries will be made only if the corresponding data are available and their authenticity is confirmed.
