A family from Rostov moved to Arzamas after a trip to the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, wrote on his Telegram channel about a family that, after visiting the region, decided to move to Arzamas. According to him, this story became one of the most touching New Year's gifts for him.

      Nikitin said he received the appeal through the electronic reception. In the letter, a woman wrote that her family travels a lot and once decided to visit Nizhny Novgorod. During last year's autumn holidays they came to the region and were so taken with the atmosphere that a few months later they decided to relocate.

      According to the letter's author, they moved to Arzamas in August. The family was able to quickly enroll the children in school, sports sections and a music school. As emphasized in the appeal, all this was achieved without connections or outside help.

      "I was particularly moved by the words that the author probably did not expect that I would read this appeal. I want to say: dialogue with residents and feedback from them are very important to us. This is how we understand whether we chose the right direction, and which opportunities and facilities the Nizhny Novgorod Region needs first of all," the head of the region noted.

      Nikitin stressed that the Nizhny Novgorod Region is open to new residents, especially those who are ready to sincerely love this land.

      "From the bottom of my heart I want to wish this wonderful family from Arzamas great happiness! May the Nizhny Novgorod land truly become home for you. Thank you for your warm and sincere appeal," the governor added.

      Earlier it was reported that citizens of Germany and Latvia received Russian passports and moved to the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
