Milk kitchens in Nizhny Novgorod have switched to digital prescriptions.

      Milk kitchens of Nizhny Novgorod have switched to an electronic prescription format. This was reported by Aleksey Nikonov, chief editor of the medical publication "Stacionar-Press", on his Telegram channel.

      According to him, pediatricians in children's clinics now issue prescriptions for free meals in digital form. This not only speeds up the process but also spares parents the risk of losing the paper document or of it being damaged by a child.

      The transition to electronic prescriptions was implemented by the state enterprise "Nizhny Novgorod Regional Pharmacy". Thanks to the innovation, processing now takes significantly less time.

      Families whose income meets certain criteria can still obtain a prescription for free meals.

      Earlier it was reported that the time to obtain certificates for arranging meals for children at the "milk kitchen" was reduced by 2.5 times (from 18 to 7 days).
