      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region have started the shortest working week of 2025. It will last only two days — Monday and Tuesday, December 29 and 30.

      Wednesday, December 31, will be an official day off. According to a decree of the Russian government, the day off from January 5 has been moved to the last day of December.

      Thus, the New Year holidays for Nizhny Novgorod residents will last 12 days — from December 31, 2025 to January 11, 2026, inclusive.

      Recall that in 2026 the region’s residents will have seven shortened working weeks. At the same time, not a single six-day working week is planned.

      Earlier, Nizhny Novgorod residents were told who is entitled to a thirteenth salary.
