      In 2025 welders became one of the most in-demand and highest-paid professions in the country. The average salary in this field ranges from 165,000 to 270,000 rubles.

      A study by Avito Work showed that the number of job openings for welders increased by 44% compared to the previous year, while job seeker activity rose by only 26%. The average offered salary reached 190,000 rubles, which is 63% more than in autumn 2024. To attract specialists, companies offer various perks such as free meals, training, gifts for children and corporate discounts.

      Welders surpassed turners and drill operators in terms of income. Expert Garri Muradyan, vice president of the Club of Young Entrepreneurs of Rosmolodezh and founder of the School of Career Development, told 360.ru that this is due to an acceleration of industrial growth in Russia, which requires an increase in the number of workers, including welders. Welders are in demand at metal fabrication plants, shipbuilding yards, in the military-industrial complex and in weapons production.

      However, many welders left the labor market for various reasons, including voluntary service, retirement and other factors. At the same time, the volume of tasks they perform significantly exceeds the number of available specialists. As a result, companies are recruiting welders even from abroad.

      Muradyan also highlighted other professions that will be in demand in the near future:

       slotted fitter (locksmith),

       installation fitter,

       rebar worker,

       concrete worker,

       molder,

       high-grade seamstress.

      He also noted that there is demand in the country for domestic staff, including housekeepers, and operators of heavy machinery such as excavator operators and agricultural machinery operators.

      Recall that the Nizhny Novgorod region approved a list of the most in-demand professions and specialties that the state-supported professional training system will focus on in 2026. Among them are welders, electrical installers, fitters, drivers, as well as CNC machine operators.
