The head of the Gorodetsky District, Alexander Mudrov, was involved in a traffic accident that left people injured.

      On the evening of 26 December, the head of the Gorodetsky district, Alexander Mudrov, was involved in a road traffic accident. The incident occurred on the highway near the village of Kiryushino.

      As Alexander Yuryevich himself told NIA "Nizhny Novgorod", he was driving an official car from Gorodets to Nizhny Novgorod.

      "From the oncoming lane a Zhiguli 'Pyatorka' veered into our lane. It struck the car ahead of me on the side and hit me on the front left. The driver of the Zhiguli was injured; he was hospitalized with a broken leg," the official told our correspondent about the details of the incident.

      Fortunately, the head of the district was not injured and did not require medical assistance. His health is normal, and he plans to return to his duties on Monday. However, the official Mercedes driven by Mudrov sustained serious damage.

      Traffic police (GIBDD) officers are now conducting an investigation to establish all the circumstances of what happened.

      Recall that recently on the M-12 highway, also in the Nizhny Novgorod region, there was an accident in which the head of Reutov in the Moscow region, Filipp Naumenko, was injured. The official, who suffered serious injuries, fell into a coma and died several days later.
