Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region are being invited to watch an animated video dedicated to the rules of safe online shopping. It was created as part of the "Digital Literacy" project with the participation of Avito and the ANO "Digital Economy."
The aim of the educational material is to improve users' digital literacy. This area is among the priorities of the national "Data Economy" project.
Earlier the video was already shown in Moscow — on more than 34,000 media screens in the metro and surface transport. Now its broadcast has been expanded to the regions to attract the attention of residents across the country and to remind them of key safety principles when shopping online.
The animated video has been adapted for a broad audience — both children and adults. In a simple and clear way it explains how to check sellers and products, conduct correspondence, protect personal data, and use built-in security features on digital platforms.
The main goal of the project is to reduce risks in online transactions and to foster responsible behavior in the digital environment.
Natalya Yumatova, Director of Trust and Safety at Avito, noted that the internet makes it possible to order goods and services anywhere in the country in just a few clicks. However, it is important that every purchase is not only convenient but also safe. She emphasized that modern platforms already offer built-in protective tools, and the video clearly shows how to use them correctly.
Olga Franchuk, Deputy Director of the "Personnel Sovereignty" division at ANO "Digital Economy," added that the video reminds millions of users how to maintain confidence and control when paying for goods online. According to her, such tools make online shopping not only easier but also safer.
It was previously reported that Governor Gleb Nikitin presented the Nizhny Novgorod region's experience in the field of financial literacy to federal authorities.
