Igor Pantyukhin will head the Ministry of Demography of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The Office for Labor and Employment of the Nizhny Novgorod Region will become the Ministry of Demography and Human Capital Development, Governor Gleb Nikitin said on his Telegram channel on December 26.

      The agency will be overseen by Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov. The ministerial post will be taken by the current head of the Office for Labor and Employment, Igor Pantyukhin.

      "Thus, we are welcoming the New Year with new development institutions and a new structure suited to the demands of the time and the long-term development strategy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the country as a whole," noted Governor Gleb Nikitin.

      Recall that today the head of the region also announced the creation of a Ministry of Science and Higher Education (which will, for now, be headed by Yekaterina Solntseva) and the reorganization of the Ministry of Social Policy (it will now focus on family policy).
