The Ministry of Construction reported on the progress of repairs to the pontoon bridge across the Oka in Pavlov.

      December 24, 2025, 6:52 PM Society A contractor has begun the next phase of restoring the floating bridge across the Oka River in the Pavlovsky District, which was damaged by a severe ice drift on the night of December 15, the regional ministry of transport reported.

      Delivery of the necessary materials has been completed and work on restoring the riverbank abutment is beginning. The work will include driving sheet piles, installing anchor ties and a hinge assembly.

      The agency said maintenance of the ramps continues. All repair work is planned to be completed as soon as possible; however, an exact completion date has not yet been announced.

      Recall that due to the bridge damage traffic on the Pavlovo–Tumbotino crossing was temporarily suspended. To ensure transport accessibility during the repairs, a free ferry crossing has been organized, which will continue to carry passengers and vehicles until the bridge is fully restored.

      Earlier reports said that repairs to the Myzinsky overpass in Nizhny Novgorod may be completed ahead of schedule.
