      In Zavolzhye, the traditional charity event "Anyone Can Become Ded Moroz" took place. At the Harmoniya shopping center, Ded Moroz and Snegurochka created a festive mood for townspeople — they congratulated visitors on the upcoming New Year and reminded them that magic begins with simple kind deeds.

      The main symbol of the event was a New Year tree decorated with baubles bearing the names of children with disabilities. Anyone could choose one and prepare a gift. For many participants, this was an opportunity not only to please a child but also to feel part of a common kind cause. The initiative is being carried out by Dobro.Center, the Youth Center and the Gorodets Society for People with Disabilities. It has long become familiar to residents of the district. Last year the campaign turned 10 years old. By tradition, on December 27 Ded Moroz and Snegurochka will visit the children, deliver the gifts and congratulate them on the New Year.

      Participant Galina Zhestkova notes that such events are important above all for the people themselves:

      – You should help from the heart and without reason. Attention is important for children, and even a small gift can bring joy. Such campaigns remind us of kindness and human involvement, which are often forgotten in the everyday bustle.

      For someone it is just a bauble on the tree, and for someone — a long-awaited New Year surprise. It is from such simple but sincere actions that the true feeling of the holiday is formed.
