The readiness of the parallel road to Gagarin Avenue in Nizhny Novgorod has reached 43%.

      23 December 2025 18:37 Society: Technical readiness of the duplicate of Gagarin Avenue in Nizhny Novgorod reached 43%. This was reported by Deputy Governor Sergey Morozov at the final meeting of the regional government.

      Recall that the project is being carried out under a concession agreement signed in December 2023. The total length of the new highway will be more than 12.3 kilometers. Construction is divided into four stages, and the total investment amounts to 64.4 billion rubles. The concession term is 30 years and 9 months, of which 4.5 years are allocated specifically to construction.

      In November it was reported that, as part of the third phase of the project, the contractor completed the first laying of the top layer of asphalt concrete on the overpass that is part of the interchange over the R-158 highway.

      In addition, Sergey Morozov noted that in 2025 in the Nizhny Novgorod region, under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," more than 745 kilometers of roads were repaired, compared with an initial plan of 626 kilometers.
