The launch of the satellite "Lobachevsky" is scheduled for December 28.

      At the Vostochny Cosmodrome, an important stage of launch preparation was completed: specialists assembled the launch container with the satellite "Lobachevsky" and the necessary elements of the separation system onto the frame of the Fregat upper stage, the project organizers reported.

      The spacecraft, created in the 16U CubeSat format, was developed by scientists of Nizhny Novgorod State University named after Lobachevsky in cooperation with the company "Geoscan". The project is being carried out under the Space-π program and is aimed at conducting agroecological research in various regions of Russia.

      "Lobachevsky" will become part of the secondary payload of the "Aist-2T" mission No. 1-2. The launch is planned for 28 December using a Soyuz-2 launch vehicle.

      The launch operator is the State Corporation Roscosmos, while the company "Glavkosmos" acts as the lead integrator for the secondary payload and also provides the launch service.

      It was previously reported that the final check of the hardware and software complex of the Nizhny Novgorod satellite "Lobachevsky" was completed in September 2025. The "Lobachevsky" satellite project is being implemented with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod Science and Education Center as the winner of the "Duty Officer of the Planet" grant from the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises.
