Drug turnover increased by 24.4% in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, 3,614 crimes related to the illegal drug trade were registered in the ten months of 2025, according to statistics published by the regional branch of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

      Compared with the same period last year, the number of such offenses increased by 24.4%. Most of them are serious and particularly serious crimes. There were 3,134 such cases registered, which is 31.6% more than in 2024.

      Police seized 871.1 kg of narcotic and psychotropic substances and their analogues. This almost 1.8 times exceeds the volume of seizures for the same period last year.

      At the same time, 11 cases of operating drug dens were recorded.

      In addition, law enforcement officers are actively fighting organized crime. Since the beginning of the year, they have prevented 796 crimes committed by members of organized crime groups. This is 2.3 times more than for the same period last year. Of these, 405 crimes are related to the illegal drug trade, which is 64% more than last year.

      Earlier it was reported that a house used as a drug laboratory was confiscated in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
