A resident of Gorodets returned the stolen cardboard boy and apologized.

      Society: The story of the kidnapping of a cardboard boy in Gorodets has reached a logical conclusion. The young man returned the mannequin to its original place and publicly apologized.

      The head of the Gorodets district, Alexander Mudrov, posted a video on his Telegram channel. The footage shows the offender returning the stolen figure to the pedestrian crossing. In the video the man also addresses residents with an apology for his actions.

      “I hope nothing else bad happens to this young man in life, because the experience he has just gained clearly demonstrates that one foolish act can easily ruin your future. Have a good day and make mindful decisions,” wrote Alexander Mudrov.

      Recall that earlier in Gorodets a local resident in a Zhiguli (a Lada) stole a cardboard child placed at the roadside. The mannequin had been positioned near a pedestrian crossing and served to attract drivers’ attention in order to increase safety.

      The young man’s identity was quickly established, and the missing item was found near the car.

      It was previously reported that Bastrykin took the case of cruel treatment of children at a Gorodets kindergarten under control.
