The bypass on Rodionova Street will open on the night of December 2.

      A four-lane bypass road on Rodionova Street in Nizhny Novgorod will be opened on the night of December 2, the city administration's press service reported.

      Traffic will be routed onto a parallel road built to expand the construction site of the new "Sennaya" metro station.

      For passengers' convenience, two bus stops, three pedestrian crossings and three traffic lights have been installed near buildings No. 1 and No. 11 on Rodionova Street.

      The mayor's office clarified that vehicles entering the new road in both directions can only turn from Donetskaya Street, while from Raduzhnaya and the areas adjacent to the temporary road they may only turn right.

      One-way traffic toward Sennaya Square has also been organized in the far right lane. Both local residents and drivers coming from Fruktovaya can use it to access the Pechersky exit or to make a U-turn onto Raduzhnaya and Donetskaya.

      The temporary road has a maximum speed limit of 40 km/h.

      Earlier it emerged that construction of two metro stations in Nizhny Novgorod will stretch until 2027.
