      On November 29, 2025, NEYMARK Day was held for the first time in Nizhny Novgorod, organized by NEYMARK University. The event brought together about 400 participants: students, schoolchildren, representatives of universities and industrial partners of the IT campus.

      The event was timed to coincide with the 105th anniversary of the birth of Yuri Neymark — a mathematician and the founder of the country’s first Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics in Gorky. The Nizhny Novgorod IT Campus and NEYMARK University are named after him.

      Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin noted that the campus aims to train top specialists, create an innovation ecosystem and attract talent to the region. Deputy Governor Andrey Sanosyan emphasized that the university is already implementing educational programs before the campus construction is completed.

      Representatives of partner universities participated in the event: HSE University — Nizhny Novgorod, NGTU named after R. E. Alekseev, Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N. I. Lobachevsky, NNGASU, NGLU named after N. A. Dobrolyubov, the Presidential Academy (RANEPA), Minin and Knyagininsky Universities. They were presented with awards for their contribution to education and the development of the region’s scientific potential.

      As part of the business program, strategic sessions, discussions and master classes by IT campus partners were held. Partner zones of companies such as Sber, School 21, YADRO, hh.ru, Atomenergoproekt, Grinatom and others were operating. The NEYMARK partner network includes more than 150 academic and industrial organizations.

      Young scientists and entrepreneurs debunked myths about the IT industry. Among the speakers were Anastasia Posternak, founder of a company in the virtual and augmented reality sector, and Maxim Spiridonov, a graduate of a theater academy and the creator of an online education platform.

      The event concluded with an awards ceremony for the finalists and winners of the second International NEYMARK Programming Olympiad for schoolchildren. Some 319 schoolchildren from 14 regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus took part in the qualifying rounds, and 96 participants reached the final. The competition produced 10 winners and 20 prize-winners.

      Gulnara Bikkulova, Director of NEYMARK University, noted that the campus educational environment is focused on the synergistic development of various directions — from science to entrepreneurship.

      The NEYMARK IT Campus is an inter-university educational ecosystem in Nizhny Novgorod. Currently five educational programs are being implemented in artificial intelligence, augmented intelligence technologies, microelectronics, information security and digital technologies in construction. The campus also provides retraining for IT specialists and develops talent among schoolchildren and students.

      The campus project is being implemented within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children.” Russia plans to create 25 campuses by 2030 and 40 by 2036. Funding is provided from federal and regional budgets as well as from extrabudgetary sources. The work is supervised by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
