      Nizhny Novgorod mayor Yuriy Shalabaev shared childhood memories on Mother's Day, which is observed on November 30. He published the post and a photo on his Telegram channel.

      The city mayor said that on the eve of the holiday journalists approached him and asked about the brightest memory related to his mother. According to him, he wanted to answer "Everything!"

      "Now, when my mother is gone, it cannot be any other way. Everything is precious, everything is infinitely important," the mayor noted.

      However, what stuck in his memory most were trips to the south, when they would sunbathe all day and eat what seemed to be the tastiest treats.

      As a child the head of Nizhny Novgorod also liked to ski with his family in the Striginsky Bor. His mother taught him to ski.

      "She supported me and would not let me give up. Now I ski there with my own children," Shalabaev said.

      In conclusion, he congratulated all mothers on the holiday and said, "You are the best in the world!"

      Earlier, the speaker of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Legislative Assembly, Evgeny Lyulin, congratulated the women of the Nizhny Novgorod region. He admitted that he continues to admire mothers, despite having already become both a father and a grandfather.
