      Mother-Heroine Natalia Sklyanchuk from Lukoyanov gave advice on raising children in an interview with the We Live in Nizhny portal ahead of Mother's Day.

      Natalia Sklyanchuk herself was raised in a large family. Her parents never shut themselves off from their children's problems, always listened to everyone and helped everyone. She applies the same model in her own family.

      "Of course, there are times when there isn't enough time, and it does take a lot of energy. But still, when a decision comes and when we reach a goal, the joy from that compensates for all the spent effort and emotions," Natalia Sklyanchuk said.

      The most important thing, she says, is communication within the family. And although in the age of gadgets it's not so easy to maintain close contact, Natalia still cherishes in-person communication in the family.

      "We teach them to be honest, decent and hardworking. We also teach them to live in peace with other people and to befriend them. As for how we want them to be, we don't restrict anyone. They choose activities for themselves, and we do not impose our opinion. Strict boundaries won't allow a person to become independent and have a firm position," the Mother-Heroine said.
