      Nizhny Novgorod governor Gleb Nikitin shared a childhood photo of his mother on his Telegram channel.

      "Her faith in me, support and tender care always help me cope with the most difficult trials," the head of the region noted in a post dedicated to the celebration of Mother's Day on November 30.

      According to the governor, love is concentrated in the word "mother" and life resounds within it.

      "When times are hard, we remember our mother's advice, return to her embrace, and want to keep living!" Nikitin added.

      The head of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast reminded young women that they have a chance to become mothers and "live their best lives."

      "Happy Mother's Day! Mommy, happy holiday!" he wrote.

      Earlier, speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Evgeny Lyulin and the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, shared photos of their mothers.

      In honor of the holiday, the Nizhny Novgorod TV tower will be illuminated with special lighting.
