Thematic lectures as part of the "Faces of Service" project are held at Minin University.
Minin University continues to implement the "Faces of Service" project, aimed at preserving the memory of clergymen who died in the zone of the special military operation and at shaping spiritual and moral guidelines for young people. In November, five themed lectures were held in support of the traveling photo exhibition "Faces of Service," which combined spiritual content, a psychological approach, and lively student interest. Minin University lecturers gave interactive lectures on the topics:
"Priest at War: Spiritual Mission and Responsibility"
"Psychology of Heroism: a Person's Inner Supports in Dangerous Conditions"
"Heroes of Faith: Pastoral Feat in the SMO Zone"
"Church and Army: Tradition, Continuity, Meanings"
"Compassion as Strength: Spiritual Support for Servicemen Through the Eyes of a Psychologist"
"The lectures were accompanied by lively discussions and profound questions — all events of the 'Faces of Service' project take place in a warm and thoughtful atmosphere. Students actively participate, ask questions, and share their own reflections on faith, human dignity, choice and service," notes the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and project leader Irina Kolesnikova.
Many students noted that such meetings help them look anew at spiritual heritage, Russian history, and what it means to remain human in difficult times.
The "Faces of Service" project is being implemented by the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Psychology jointly with the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese, with the support of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Sorabotnichestvo grant fund (the "Orthodox Initiative" competition).
