      A bakery and a men's haircut salon burned down in the Kanavinsky District of Nizhny Novgorod, the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reports.

      This afternoon, November 27, a fire broke out in an administrative building on Dolgopolova Street in the Kanavinsky District. As a result, property belonging to a bakery and a barbershop on the building's basement floor was damaged. According to preliminary data, the likely cause of the incident was an emergency operating mode of the electrical equipment in use.

      Seven fire crews of the Russian Emergencies Ministry were deployed to extinguish the fire and prevent its consequences. The fire spread over an area of 100 square meters. There are no fatalities or injuries.

      At present, the emergency agency's staff are conducting an inspection. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident has also been launched.
