The Pushkin Library is 75 years old.

      Pushkin Library — 75 Years

      On November 28, a ceremonial event dedicated to its 75th anniversary took place at the A. S. Pushkin Family Reading Library. One of the city's oldest libraries has rich traditions and enjoys deserved popularity among both young people and the older generation.

      Unique literary projects are carried out here, such as "Rubtsov's Saturday," "Nostalgia," "Literary Crossroads," "Winter Evenings," and others. The library hosts the literary association "Ogonyok Rubtsova" and the Nikolai Rubtsov Literary Museum, which attracts poetry lovers from across the country. The librarians of the "Pushkin" library have many interesting initiatives, and it is very pleasing that their creative endeavors resonate with the people of Dzerzhinsk.

      The library staff were congratulated on the anniversary by Nadezhda Yeremeyeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Youth Policy and Sports of the Dzerzhinsk Administration; Ivan Kilin, deputy of the Dzerzhinsk City Duma; Lyudmila Kemaykina, Director of the Centralized Library System; and the library’s partners — heads of educational institutions in our city: the Dzerzhinsk Industrial and Commercial Technical School, the Dzerzhinsk Technical College, and the Dzerzhinsk Music College.

      Library employees were presented with letters of appreciation from the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the administration of the city of Dzerzhinsk. Many warm words and kind wishes were expressed to the library staff. May it continue to remain one of our city's beloved cultural centers!
