A Kstovo company paid a million-ruble fine for an attempted bribe.

      In Kstovo, the joint-stock company "Stroitelnoe upravlenie-7 SMT" was held administratively liable for a corruption offense. This was reported by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      It was established that from June 2021 to September 2023 a company representative handed over an illicit reward — a residential site trailer ("wagon"-type portable unit) valued at about 80,000 rubles — to the chief engineer of the branch of JSC "Transneft-Verkhnyaya Volga". In return he was supposed to help conceal violations in the design and estimate documentation committed during construction works, and also to avoid the imposition of fines.

      Following the results of the probe, the prosecutor’s office opened a case under Article 19.28 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation. As a result, JSC "SU-7 SMT" was fined 1 million rubles.

      The organization paid the fine in full. The funds were transferred to the state budget.

      Earlier it was reported that the contractor was fined for violations during construction work on the Nizhny Novgorod Children’s Railway.
