Contestants asked Vladimir Yakushev questions about how the party plans to run its election campaign in 2026, how it will organize the collection of public directives for the new people's program, how work with voters and opponents will be built, and what significance the contest has for forming a personnel reserve in politics, state and municipal administration.
"From the beginning of the year we plan to report to the people on the fulfillment of the provisions of the people's program. Work will proceed across the country simultaneously with the collection of new directives. This will include a specially created digital platform," explained the Secretary of the General Council.
The campaign will not be easy, Vladimir Yakushev stressed. And United Russia is already actively preparing for it.
"We will have to respond to criticism from opponents — not only political ones, but external ones as well. And here we will defend not only United Russia and preserve our own identity, but also the country's," he emphasized.
Speaking about the significance of the "Leaders of Russia. Politics" contest and other contests launched at the President's initiative, Vladimir Yakushev noted that they help select the most prepared and motivated personnel for public administration.
"The contest provides an opportunity to select people with managerial potential, to build systematic work in searching for and training personnel for the political and managerial spheres. And, of course, to self-actualize, acquire new horizontal connections, and capitalize on oneself," concluded the Secretary of the General Council.
Alexey Antonov from Nizhny Novgorod was among the 105 best in the country. The Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Deputy Secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the United Russia party for work with deputies and deputy associations commented on the meeting in Moscow as follows:
"It is a great honor for me to learn from a person with such colossal experience in state and political activity as Vladimir Vladimirovich Yakushev. The depth of his immersion in the processes taking place in the country is truly impressive. Absorbing his knowledge is an invaluable opportunity, and I am confident that this cooperation will be extremely useful — first and foremost for my work for the benefit of my native Nizhny Novgorod Region."
Recall that the "Leaders of Russia. Politics" contest is being implemented on the instructions of President Vladimir Putin with the aim of identifying promising socio-political leaders who have the necessary knowledge, skills and motivation for socio-political work, for their further training, development among like-minded people and immersion in the modern political environment. It is part of a larger effort to create mechanisms for social mobility and support talent.
