The restoration project of the Shukhov Tower in Vyksa won the "Made in Russia" award.

      20 November 2025, 15:58 Culture and Leisure The project to restore and relocate the hyperboloid water tower designed by engineer Vladimir Shukhov in the town of Vyksa, implemented by the United Metallurgical Company (OMK), won the "Made in Russia-2025" (12+) award from the Snob media project.

      Recall that the restoration and relocation of the tower took seven years. Specialists from OMK’s Vyksa plant, together with engineers from the Central Research Institute of Industrial Buildings, developed a unique technology that made it possible to preserve the tower’s original appearance. The ceremonial opening of the unique object on the territory of "Shukhov Park" in Vyksa took place in October with the participation of Governor Gleb Nikitin.

      Shukhov’s tower was named the best in the "Urban Environment. Habitat" category. It was first selected by the expert council as one of six finalists chosen from dozens of projects across the country. Its competitors included initiatives such as an urban resort in Magnitogorsk, a cultural cluster in Saint Petersburg, museum spaces in Moscow, and the new building of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad. The winner was determined by open voting.
