In the Nizhny Novgorod region, about 13,000 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in the week from November 10 to 16, 2025. Despite the high incidence, epidemic thresholds in the region were not exceeded, the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor reported.
According to monitoring data, about 12,000 people were examined during the week. Among the identified pathogens, rhinovirus and mycoplasma predominate. Cases of infection with RSV, metapneumoviruses, adenoviruses, seasonal coronaviruses and parainfluenza have also been recorded. Circulation of influenza viruses has been noted.
As of November 19, one school and three kindergartens were completely closed due to ARVI. In another 20 schools, students from 53 classes were placed under quarantine. The educational process was partially suspended in 50 kindergartens (63 groups).
Enhanced preventive measures have been introduced in educational institutions: disinfection is carried out according to a "viral" regime, a "morning filter" is in place, bactericidal irradiators are used, and premises are regularly ventilated.
Earlier it was reported that in the first nine months of 2025 residents of Nizhny Novgorod bought antiviral drugs worth 773.5 million rubles.
