      On 21 November an open meeting with the well-known writer and editor of the literary magazine "Roman-Gazeta," Yuri Kozlov, will be held at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Library named after Lenin.

      According to the regional branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, as part of the round table (12+), participants will discuss the fate of contemporary prose and the role of young authors in the literary process. The topic of the meeting is "Prose of the Young: Continuity or Free Flight?"

      Joining Yuri Kozlov at the table will be representatives of the recently created regional branch of the Union of Writers of Russia: Oleg Ryabov, Dmitry Terentyev, Alina Grebeshkova and Dmitry Birman. They will be joined by Professor Alexey Korovashko of Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University (NNSU) and SVO participant, author of the Telegram channel "Diary of an Assault Trooper," Vadim Belov.

      Participants will discuss which topics occupy contemporary writers, what a new literary utterance should be like, how the structure of the text is changing and what avenues exist for promoting authors. They also plan to address the problems of the writing profession and propose mechanisms for its development.

      The meeting was organized by poet Vladimir Bezdenezhnykh, a board member of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Writers of Russia and head of the literary program at the Peshkov Center.

      Admission to the event is free.

      It was previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod Writers' House began operating in the restored Shchelokov House.
