OMK strengthened its position among Russia's best employers, according to Forbes.
17 November 2025, 15:02 Economy United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has once again ranked among the leaders of Forbes magazine’s list of the best employers in Russia. In 2025 the company ended up in the so‑called “gold group” — a category that brings together the country’s most responsible and sustainable businesses.
The ranking is formed based on evaluation by ESG criteria: environmental responsibility (E), social engagement and employee care (S), and corporate governance (G). This year 205 companies made the list, among which OMK received the highest — “platinum” — ratings for environmental initiatives and corporate governance. In the social category the company was awarded “silver.”
Experts in 2025 paid particular attention to corporate governance and internal control systems. OMK operates a compliance policy, anti-corruption programs, a code of business ethics, and an audit committee. These measures contribute to the transparency and sustainability of business processes.
Environmental responsibility remains an important focus for the company. In 2024 OMK’s investments in environmental protection measures grew almost one and a half times compared with the previous year and amounted to 2.25 billion rubles. The company is steadily reducing the environmental impact of its production.
OMK also actively develops social infrastructure in the regions where it operates. The company supports educational and cultural initiatives, assists social entrepreneurs, volunteers and non-profit organizations, and implements charitable projects.
Great attention is also paid to employees. The company is implementing modern approaches to motivation and staff development, combining traditional support measures with new management tools. Total spending on social support for employees last year amounted to approximately 3 billion rubles.
“OMK takes a responsible approach to the professional growth and well‑being of its employees and is improving its personnel management approaches. We strive to create safe, modern and comfortable working conditions, support families and develop training systems. It is important to us that every employee feels protected and recognizes the significance of their contribution,” said the company’s president, Natalya Yeremina.
