      The installation of the New Year tree began on November 17 on Minin and Pozharsky Square in Nizhny Novgorod. As the correspondent of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" reports, the New Year symbol will take its traditional place on the square, closer to the Verkhnevolzhskaya Embankment. Workers have already unloaded the tree structures and begun assembly.

      Last week the New Year tree was erected in the center of Sormovo. And at the end of October the New Year symbol appeared at one of the Ts in the Avtozavodsky district.

      It should also be noted that last year the installation of the main New Year tree on Minin and Pozharsky Square began on November 27.

      Earlier it was reported that, as part of the preparations for the celebrations, the city will be decorated with New Year flags.
