A man drowned in the Tolstik pond in Sergach, Nizhny Novgorod Region, the regional branch of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reported.
According to the agency, officers of the emergency rescue service of the regional department for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Fire Safety recovered the body of a 45-year-old man from the water.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the competent authorities. The cause of death is being established.
Earlier it was reported that the body of a drowned man was found in the Oka River near Nizhny Novgorod.
