Road repairs planned for 2025 under the national project "Infrastructure for Life" have been completed in the Vyksa urban district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the region's Main Directorate of Regional Highways reported.
Work was carried out on three key sections with a total length of about 18 km. Contractors brought the roads up to regulatory standards on the routes "Vyksa - Nizhnyaya Vereya - recreation area", "Access to the city of Vyksa from the Vladimir–Murom–Arzamas highway" and "Novodmitrievka - Semilovo". The total value of the contract is 351 million rubles.
"Vyksa is an industrial center with a town-forming enterprise, where logistics are a top priority, and its foundation is, at the very least, quality roads. Timely completion of road works under the national project directly affects the district's economy and residents' comfort, improving territorial connectivity and reducing transport costs," said Leonid Samukhin, director of the State Public Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Main Directorate of Regional Highways".
In addition, contracts have already been awarded in the Vyksa urban district for the repair of five road sections with a total length of about 35 kilometers in 2026. Some work on the new projects may begin this year, which will reduce the load on the road network in the upcoming season and ensure the plan is completed within a short timeframe.
Recall that road repairs in the Nizhny Novgorod region are being carried out under the "Safe and High-Quality Roads" program within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life", which was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to provide citizens with modern infrastructure. The project consists of 11 federal projects aimed at developing road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road traffic safety, and developing public passenger transport.
