Nizhny Novgorod's Torpedo beat Lada for the fourth time this season.

      Nizhny Novgorod's Torpedo secured a shutout victory over Tolyatti's Lada. The fifth "autozavod derby" of the 2025/2026 season ended 2:0.

      In the 5th minute of the first period Alexey Isakov's charges opened the scoring. Maxim Letunov converted a power play, tucking the rebound into Ivan Bocharov's net.

      In the second period Torpedo held the initiative and created many dangerous chances, but the visitors' defense and goalkeeper were reliable. Late in the period the visitors could have equalized after a Denis Kostin mistake, but the puck did not cross the goal line.

      The winning goal was scored by Alexander Yaremchuk in the 9th minute of the third period. Lada failed to come back. The Tolyatti coaching staff pulled the goalie with less than a minute remaining, which produced no result. The match ended 2:0. Denis Kostin recorded a shutout.

      "A lot of what we planned for the match worked out today. By and large, the two games played out more or less the same way — whether we played Lada in Tolyatti or here. The only thing, of course, in Tolyatti we failed to convert many chances. Today we scored, and the goalkeeper's confident play saw us through to victory," commented head coach Alexey Isakov.

      Thus, the Nizhny Novgorod side have won 4 of five games against Lada. The teams will next meet on February 10, 2026 in Tolyatti.

      Now Torpedo are heading out on the road. On November 2 they will play Avtomobilist.
