A training seminar was held in the Nizhny Novgorod Region for public assistants to the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights. The event was aimed at improving the effectiveness of interaction with municipal authorities and regulatory bodies, as well as developing mechanisms to support entrepreneurs, the business ombudsman's office said.
Fifty-five representatives of municipalities and specialized experts in the fields of ecology, taxation, jurisprudence, intellectual property, mediation and other areas took part in the seminar.
The program covered key aspects of business inspections, including types of oversight not covered by Federal Law No. 248-FZ. Participants examined in detail the differences between planned and unplanned inspections, as well as the procedures for notification and preparation for them.
Irina Nozdrecheva, head of the department for supervisory and oversight activities at the regional Ministry of Economic Development, spoke about practical nuances of inspections and ways to respond effectively to the actions of regulatory authorities. Special attention was paid to documenting inspection results and pre-trial appeal procedures.
Nizhny Novgorod business ombudsman Pavel Solodky discussed with participants ways to raise the business community's awareness of the ombudsman institute's capabilities. He recommended establishing regular meetings between entrepreneurs and government representatives and district prosecutors, and offered advice on preparing initiatives and questions for such interactions.
The second part of the seminar featured a strategic session. Based on its results, a roadmap will be developed for the development of the public assistants institute. Ideas voiced included creating an electronic database of successful cases, monitoring systemic business problems in districts, and legislative initiatives to expand ombudsmen's powers in courts.
The next training seminar is scheduled for December. It will include representatives of the tax service, Roskomnadzor, the migration service and other supervisory bodies.
Earlier it was reported that the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region helped restore the rights of 70 local entrepreneurs.
