Energy workers donated blood to help children and adults in need.

      Society — 36 employees of the energy companies En+ Teplo Volga took part in a blood donation campaign organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Blood Center named after N.Ya. Klimova. The day before, they donated 17 liters of blood components to help adults and children in need.

      As the organizer of the campaign — chairman of the Youth Council of En+ Teplo Volga Alexander Davydov — said, a distinctive feature of each campaign is an increasing number of people wishing to become donors. “In total, more than 400 energy workers regularly participate in the charitable blood donation campaign. Among them are more than 10 ‘Honorary Donors.’ Their responsibility, compassion and empathy have become an example to others. Therefore, for each campaign we receive dozens of applications from those who want to donate for the first time,” noted Alexander Davydov.

      Avtozavodskaya CHP engineer Veronika Voropaeva has a rare blood type, so she was among the first to sign up for the donation campaign. “My AB positive blood type is in high demand. I want to help people, to share with them the kindness and positive energy that spark in every employee of the energy sector,” Veronika said.

      Natalya Zhestina, leading specialist of the Production Preparation Department of “Heat Generation,” is participating in a donation campaign for the first time. “TV reports talk about children who need help. I worry about them with all my heart. I hope my participation in this good cause will preserve their health,” Natalya shared.

      Donated blood once saved the life of mechanic Alexey Yuferov, and now he repays good with good by actively taking part in charitable campaigns. “As a child, donor blood literally gave me a chance at a full life. That is why I consider it important and necessary to give a part of my health to those in need. Today I am donating blood for the 14th time, continuing to carry my mission of kindness for those for whom it is vital,” said Alexey Yuferov, an employee of “Zavodskie Seti.”

      The regional Ministry of Health also noted the importance of such a corporate initiative. “Corporate donation allows you to realize a truly important social mission not just in words but in deeds,” said Sergey Abramov, chief freelance transfusiologist of the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and chief physician of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region “Nizhny Novgorod Regional Blood Center named after N.Ya. Klimova.”
