      A fatal accident occurred on October 28 on a section of the R-177 "Povetluzhye" highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      According to information provided by the regional traffic police, the incident happened at 12:11 at the 62 km + 300 m mark of the road near the town of Semyonov.

      According to preliminary reports, a 28-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Cruze failed to take the weather conditions into account and exceeded a safe speed on a long bend.

      The car left the roadway, went into a ditch and collided with a tree.

      The driver died before the ambulance arrived. Traffic police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
