Nizhny Novgorod Region will allocate 416 million rubles for payments to security personnel in 2026.

      In 2026, 416.3 million rubles are planned to be allocated in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast for monthly payments to certain categories of employees of the territorial bodies of federal executive authorities responsible for maintaining public order and security. These figures are contained in the draft regional budget for the upcoming period. The document has been submitted for consideration to the Legislative Assembly.

      The same amount is also provided for 2027–2028 — 416.3 million rubles annually.

      At the same time, funding for the state program "Ensuring Public Order and Combating Crime in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast" will be reduced. If in 2025 724.2 million rubles were allocated for these purposes, in 2026 it will be 569.5 million. In 2027–2028 the funding volume will amount to 567.8 million rubles annually.

      Recall that the top-up program was launched in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in 2023 to strengthen the protection of public order and ensure public safety. Allowances are received by a number of categories of employees of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and the National Guard (Rosgvardiya).

      Since September 2025, the maximum regional top-up for employees of the second police company of the Department of Non-Departmental Security for the Nizhny Novgorod district has been tripled and reached 30,000 rubles per month. This structural unit is part of the Federal State Institution "Department of Non-Departmental Security of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast." For other employees eligible for regional payments, the maximum top-up remains the same — up to 10,000 rubles.
