Nizhny Novgorod PKMF "Torpedo" lost 2–5 to "New Generation".

      26 October 2025 09:36 Futsal club Torpedo from Nizhny Novgorod suffered a defeat in a Superleague match played on 25 October at their home arena. The opponents of the Nizhny Novgorod side were New Generation from Syktyvkar, who claimed a convincing 5:2 victory. This was reported on the social media of PKMF "Torpedo".

      The visitors seized the initiative from the start and quickly put in two goals. Soon they consolidated their advantage, taking the score to 4:0. The only goal in the first half for Torpedo was scored by Ivan Chishkala, allowing the team to go into halftime trailing 1:4.

      After the break the Nizhny Novgorod side had a chance to reduce the deficit — Gabriel Souza converted a penalty. However, the hosts failed to build on that momentum. Moreover, in the closing stages the Syktyvkar side scored another goal, setting the final score at 5:2 in their favor.

      Torpedo head coach Gennady Garagulia commented on the outcome of the match: "We, unfortunately, made a lot of costly mistakes in the first half. It's hard to say what that's related to. Losing is always unpleasant. We gained some experience, including in bench interactions. We will analyze all of this."

      Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod FC Volna announced they are looking for a new head coach.
