As a result of a road traffic accident that occurred on the morning of 25 October on Kominterna Street in Nizhny Novgorod, one person died. This was reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
According to the information provided, the accident happened at about 6:35 a.m. opposite building No. 175: a 47-year-old driver of a "Niva" hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road at an unmarked location.
The traffic police noted that a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing was within sight.
The injured man, who appeared to be about 40 years old, was hospitalized, where he subsequently died.
DPS officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier it was reported that a truck fatally struck a woman on the highway near Balakhna.
