Nizhny Novgorod residents were told who is being recruited into the mobilization reserve.

      A mobilization reserve called "BARS-NN" has begun to be formed in the Nizhny Novgorod region, whose main task will be to protect industrial enterprises from possible air attacks. This was reported to the pravda-nn.ru website by the region's military commissar, Sergey Agafonov.

      "Unfortunately, such a threat exists, and our main task is to ensure the region's functioning and the safety of enterprises. For this we need people who, by the call of their heart, by their upbringing, by their ideology, regardless of the fact that they live a peaceful life here, are ready to carry out such tasks," he noted.

      The unit will operate exclusively within the region and will not be sent to the special military operation zone.

      As for requirements for reservists, citizens who have completed mandatory military service in the army or graduated from military departments may join the unit.

      Age limits have been established for different categories of servicemen:

      - 52 — for privates, sergeants and warrant officers;

      - 57 — for junior officers;

      - 62 — for senior officers.

      Candidates must have a fitness-for-service category no lower than A, B or V, and an education level of at least secondary. Persons with a criminal record or under investigation are not accepted into the reserve.

      At the same time, permanent registration in the Nizhny Novgorod region is not a mandatory requirement. Temporary registration in the region is sufficient.

      As of today, the first group of the "BARS-NN" unit has already been formed, comprising 15 people.
