In Bogorodsk, the attackers who assaulted a man walking his dog with a traumatic pistol were found.

      Officers of the Bogorodsk police detained two local residents suspected of attacking someone with a traumatic weapon. The incident occurred early in the morning on August 26, 2025, when the victim was walking his dog near Zheltovskoye Lake, the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

      The victim’s wife contacted the police after finding her husband at home with serious injuries. She told law enforcement that unknown individuals had attacked him using pepper spray and a traumatic weapon. The man was shot in the face, head and torso. Despite his severe condition, the victim managed to get to his home, where neighbors found him and called an ambulance.

      Police quickly arrived at the scene and began an investigation. A criminal case was opened under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm).

      As a result of operational-search activities, the suspects were identified and detained. They were previously unconvicted local residents aged 39 and 43; they were arrested.

      The investigation continues; police must establish all the circumstances of what happened. Under the law, the suspects may face imprisonment for up to 12 years.
