      The authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Indian state of Telangana have agreed to jointly develop IT specialist training. This was reported to TASS by the region’s Deputy Chairman of the Government Dmitry Starostin.

      According to him, India has vast experience in information technology, and this experience will be useful for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The parties plan to open joint centers in Nizhny Novgorod for training programmers and other IT personnel. Starostin noted that the region’s IT community is already growing actively. Today about 38,500 people and more than 2,000 companies work here.

      A regional delegation previously visited the Indian state of Telangana, and then a meeting with the Indian side took place in Moscow. During the negotiations, projects on the exchange of specialists and cooperation between technoparks were discussed.

      In addition, joint work with the "Neimark" University is being considered. According to Starostin, agreements have been reached on more active implementation of joint ideas, especially in the areas of digital technologies and education.
