"Pari NN" were knocked out of the Russian Cup, losing heavily to "Rostov".

      "Pari Nizhny Novgorod" ended their Russian Cup campaign after losing to "Rostov" 4:1 in the sixth round of the group stage of the RPL Path.

      Rostov controlled the initiative from the first minutes. In the 20th minute the Rostov players opened the scoring. After conceding, the Nizhny Novgorod side tried to move the game onto the opponent's half, but failed to create dangerous chances. In the closing stages of the first half the hosts increased their lead — 2:0.

      At 45+1 minutes "Pari NN" were awarded a penalty after Komarov handled the ball. Boselli converted the spot-kick and reduced the deficit — 2:1.

      In the second half, already in the 49th minute a Rostov player converted a one-on-one opportunity — 3:1. The Nizhny Novgorod side continued to attack, but to no avail. In stoppage time the hosts scored the fourth goal — 4:1.

      The defeat ended Pari NN's chances of continuing in the Russian Cup. The team finished the group stage in last place. For Aleksei Shpilevsky's side this was their seventh consecutive defeat in all competitions.

      The Nizhny Novgorod side will play their next match on October 26 at home against Baltika in the RPL.

      As a reminder, Pari NN occupy 15th place in the RPL table, having collected 6 points after 12 rounds.
