According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred in the village of Turtapka today, October 22, at around 17:40. Judging by the published footage, the truck driver tried to avoid running over a person who at that moment was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, and veered onto the shoulder, striking a gas pipe. The vehicle burst into flames from the impact, but the driver managed to jump out of the cab and survived. Emergency services are currently working at the scene.
